Why Hawaii Again?
I miss Hawaii and hope and plan on going back again. Is it that simple? No I want to retire in Hawaii. These photos take me there daily. I display them as my computer screen savers and run the slide show on my TV when we listen to our favorite music.
Hawaii Again The Slide Show
Hawaii Again is a really great idea to put on during a party and just let it run. The photos are real eye catchers. We like to put this on during our family get-together's with music that matches the occasion. It provides a focal or gathering point for everyone with a bit of conversational interest, but still allows every one to mingle and visit without the TV being a distraction. You can also check it out before you go to Hawaii if you want a few ideas for where to go and what to see. If you have been to Hawaii this is a truly awesome way to watch and reminisce. It is a very pretty picture slide show with around 1200 pictures depending on your choices. Original with Beaches and Bikinis, Just Beaches and/or Nas Barbers Point. See our descriptions below.
The Video CD is a DVD compatible format that works in most DVD Players (some older DVD players will not play this format), or on a PC or MAC with a DVD drive and Software (not included with this CD). This format can be viewed on your TV using your DVD player, but you will not have the ability to navigate through the pictures on demand. This will be a straight slide show on your TV. However, the Video CD contains a PICTURES Folder that can be copied to your Computer and used as a slide show or as a screen saver using Microsoft XP or other third party screen savers. Screen saver software is not included on the Video CD. Please see below for more information on this.
Screen saver Instructions for the Video CD
If you are using Microsoft's XP Operating System: Copy the "Pictures" file folder on the Video CD to the Hard drive of your Computer. Then right click on the Desktop and choose Properties. This brings up the Display Properties Window. Choose the Screen Saver Tab and select the My Pictures Slideshow. Click on the Settings Button and Browse to the Pictures file you copied to the Hard Drive. We are working on making this available for other operating systems.
NAS Barbers Point
I was Stationed at NAS Barbers Point for 16 years while I was a P-3 Flight Engineer. As you can see I really captured NAS Barbers Point and if you lived there too I thought you might want a copy of these Photos. For someone who has not been to NAS Barbers Point they might be a bit much, so they are only added on Request.
No Sound on the Video?
First thing my Dad said was "Hey where is the sound and description of where each photo was taken?" Well, I tried to explain that it's a slide show and they were all taken in Hawaii. The photos are organized into groups of different places to sight see. The file names give this away on the Video CD and the Chapters on the DVD are labeled. One neat Idea is to play Picture Trivia and guess where the picture was taken as you watch the video. The reason for no sound is to avoid violating any Copy Right Laws. Its to easy to put on your own music as you play the slide show. My Favorite tunes to listen to with this is Hawaii's very own CECILIO & KAPONO.
